Gentle Jackets of Color
» A six hour workshop

This soft and simple two-seam garment flows and compliments all body types. The class begins with cutting and constructing a two-seam garment made from white raw silk. As participants immerse their garment into color baths of premixed dyes, Tricia guides them in the healing properties of color. She talks about color and how it relates to our chakra's, energy systems, and well-being.  It's a different kind of color class!  Meditation, music and healthy body imaging will be incorporated into this healing class resulting in gentle jackets of color.

 

Quirky Purses with a Polymer Person
» A six hour workshop

Construct a fun garment accessory that will make your friends laugh with delight. This original purse is designed with a polymer clay face as a closure. Basic face sculpting is taught and you will walk away with a one-of-a-kind original!

 

Tyvek Techniques
for Artwear, Accessories and Surface Design and Quilt Embellishments
» A three hour workshop

Learn how to paint, bubble and manipulate Tyvek, a versatile material for 3-D effects in your quilts.   We will construct a simple cell phone or scissors cover for you to take home as a sample of this technique. Materials Fee:$5

Learn how to paint, bubble and manipulate TyVek, a versatile material for 3-D effects in your quilts and garments.  After learning about the properties of tyvek we will create a colorful and functional 3-d purse made from silk and manipulated tyvek Impress your friends and add to your artwear collection. Materials fee:$15

 

Fees:

One hour lecture - $350
Three hour class - $425
Six hour class - $650
Two day class - $1050

* Maximum of 20 students
* Additional students may be added for a fee of $25/student up to 30 students

· Some classes have a materials supply list or a small fee for class materials that Tricia will bring
· All travel expenses will be borne by the organization. These include: mileage when driving (at current government rate) or round trip airfare and bus/limo transportation ($25 each way) to and from Minneapolis/St Paul International Airport, baggage or shipping charges, hotels and meals.
· Flight arrangements will be made by Tricia Spitzmueller or the travel agent of the organization with Tricia's agreement on dates of travel, routes and airline from Minneapolis/St Paul.
· Arrangements will be made by the organization to meet Tricia at the airport location and to transport up to two large suitcases of retreat materials.
