|

Creativity sometimes gets stuck. Experience an hour where you will be inspired to reconnect with your inner artist. The lecture includes an opportunity to view beautiful quilts and samples of Tricia's work and her creative process. Open your awareness and start your creative juices! |
This class is a wake up hour tailor-made for quilters to open the body and spirit to the energy of creativity. Through her experience with energy work, Tricia will lead you into rhythmic breathing, guided meditation, gentle stretching movements, and a short inspirational talk about releasing creative energy. You will be ready to begin your day centered, in touch, and full of vigor. The hour begins softly and builds to a crescendo where you will feel vitality and a whole new sense of well-being. It's a perfect way to start the day! *I have designed this class as experiential where each participant moves and breathes at his/her own level. Elements of the class are joy and humor and there is a blend of introspective as well as group dynamic. While much of the class utilizes the physical body, there is a short period of guided imagery, which moves into a brief meditation. This works to integrate the whole experience. Throughout the hour, I intersperse teachings on where creativity comes from and how to engage and utilize it. It is a class that is relevant for creative people on every level. The question is "why not?" Come and enjoy this one-hour lecture designed to demonstrate the possibilities of three exciting mediums: foil, Tyvek, and heating and painting commercial felt. Foiling adds pizzazz and drama to your cloth surfaces. Tyvek adds dimension. Painting and heating felt creates texture. The possibilities are limitless! The lecture includes samples and a short demo of the technique. |
A wonderful run through of Tricia’s prize-winning quilts and the sassy stories behind their evolution. Quilters know that they are attracted to making a certain quilt. It often just says “Make me, make me!” But why? Learn how to talk to your quilts and get surprising information out of them through color choices, design choices and images. Fun, humorous and unanticipated discoveries await you! |
